Living side by side - Welcome to Weerberg

Weerberg is situated on a sunny mountain plateau at an altitude of 900 metres above sea level in the Tux Alps.
If you let your gaze wander, you will find the wonderful panorama of the Karwendel Mountains and the Rofan in the north, the famous Kellerjoch is enthroned on the eastern side and the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck is facing west in the valley. Due to its size and the two impressive church towers, the parish church of Mary Conception, a pride of the parish of Weerberg, is always in view. The extraordinary pattern of the shingles on the towers can already be seen from the valley. However, the landmark of the village is the "Old Parish Church - St. Peter". Due to its location, this parish church is also visible from far away, as it is located on a plateau at Weerberg. Already the romantic way to the church gives you an idea of the dreamlike place up there.

You don't have to search for long at Weerberg to plan trips into the countryside. The small village is rich in forests and meadows. Two wildly romantic suspension bridges invite you to a stay. Here you can unwind and let your everyday worries flow down into the valley with the icy white water.

If you want to go on a hike, you should not miss the Weidenerhütte. In 2005 she was voted one of the most popular huts in Tyrol. This stopover with overnight accommodation is also very popular with mountain bikers. From here you can reach the Zillertal on foot or by mountain bike over the Alps to the Zillertal. After a traditional Tyrolean delicacy, those who are able to find the strength to go a little further will soon arrive at a mountain lake, which should bear the inscription "pure relaxation".

Away from the hiking and mountain bike routes, the Museum Rabelhaus - underneath the Old Church - inspires visitors with a retrospective view of more than 180 years of rural living culture. In addition, artists from a wide variety of disciplines exhibit their works here. As the crowning glory of an interesting museum visit, you have the opportunity to buy Weerberger Bauernprodukte.
