The Weißenbachalm is situated on a beautiful, peaceful alpine pasture at the upper end of the Weißenbach Valley in the Karwendel Nature Reserve. At the Weißenbachalm, you can experience unspoilt natural scenery up close. The fresh alpine air and the wonderful views of the Tyrolean mountains make a hike to the Weißenbachalm a truly special experience.

Getting there

Getting there:Directions: Starting point: Pertisau, at 952m; parking available; bus stop at the Zwölferkopfbahn valley station; walking time from the mountain station via the Weissenbachsattel to the alpine pasture approx. 1 hour.

Alternative hiking routes: without using the lift, ascent via the Bärenbadalm to 1,457 m, approx. 2 hours to the alpine pasture; or from Maurach (975 m), in the Lärchenwiese district, ascend through the Weissenbach Valley, approx. 1.5 hours.

Hiking destinations: the Bärenkopf can be circumnavigated on an impressive circular hike via the specified ascent routes, total walking time: approx. 5 hours, magnificent views of Lake Achensee! Ascent to the Stanserjoch, at 2,102 m, from the alpine pasture approx. 1.5 hours’ walk, superb panoramic views!
