Schwazer Knappensteig
Hiking tour
A journey through the mining industry of Schwaz.
They are located here in the Falkenstein mining district, where in the period from 1400 to 1957, more than 250 mining tunnels were mined to a height of 1,600 m and 200 m below the Inntalfossen Fahlerze. From these ores, copper (Cu) and silver (Ag) were recovered as precious metals. The total length of the tunnels of this area was about 500 km.
