The sunny side of the Inn river - Welcome to Terfens

Terfens at 591 meters above sea level and has about 2,000 inhabitants. This quiet recreation village lies at the foot of the Karwendel on the sunny side of the Inn. The small village is surrounded by beautiful forests and meadows with always fresh mountain air.

Terfens is European vice champion in the category "Flower Village of Europe". This alone says a lot about the peculiarities of this village. Guests appreciate the ideal altitude and enjoy the idyll of a forest walk or explore the varied nature on the theme trail. Centuries-old traditions are kept alive by the small village community. For example, experience the parade of the rifle company and the band up close. Or enjoy one of the open-air concerts during the summer months. Away from the hiking trails and mountain bike trails, one pampers oneself on really hot days with a cooling off in the Weißlahn bathing lake. In addition to cooling off and the large sunbathing lawn, the leisure centre also offers a number of sports facilities for the whole family. These include a tennis court, beach volleyball, a great children's adventure area with wooden slides, a stream bed, climbing stones and plenty of space to romp around. A very special planetary nature trail has been designed for families with children.

On the traces of the planets one walks approx. 1 hour by a labyrinth-like forest. Not knowing what is hidden behind the next bend makes this hike tingling for children and their parents. From planet to planet, you roam the vastness of the solar system. Explore our cosmic home on foot, and you will get an idea of distance and size relationships in the solar system. The true to scale nature trail lies in the "Terfner Forchat". A path of reflection leads from the village centre to Terfn's jewel, the Maria Larch pilgrimage chapel, which was built idyllically between forest and meadows. A walk through this quiet area takes about ½ hour. The works of art on the path of reflection were designed by local artists and show memorable symbols of humanity.
