The alpine playground at Ahornboden
The alpine playground at the Ahornboden
Amidst the Karwendel Nature Park, one of Austria's largest nature parks, there is a special treasure that makes the cultural heritage of the Karwendel silver region - the world-famous maple soil - as well as life on the Eng-Alm mountain pasture feel and feel for children.
The "Spielchatz Eng-Alm" was created on an area of 2,200 m2, inspired by the alpine pastures of yesteryear. Experience and discover the alpine hut with barn and dairy, the Heustadl with its cable car and the small-format butter barrel driven by a water wheel. Around the huts there are various near-natural play areas, which have a strong connection to the past pastoral life and to the typical alpine pasture products. The love for the detail of each station can be felt and felt.
Lots of cosy seating and hammocks invite you to linger and enjoy the bustling activity at the play-treasure Eng Alm. Also from the terrace of the Eng-Alm Refuge you have a good view of the children and can enjoy this wonderful place to the fullest with a good coffee and homemade cakes or a hearty Eng-Alm snack with cheese.
The Speilschatz Eng Alm is open daily from May to October.
