Schneeschuhwanderwochen Safe fun in the snow

Untouched, glistening and knee-deep snow fields, breathtakingly beautiful mountains and above them a glistening sun and azure blue sky: these are the ingredients for an unforgettable winter experience away from the pistes from 10 - 31 January 2026 in the Karwendel silver region. Snowshoeing has long since established itself here as the perfect balance to everyday life, hustle and bustle and well-trodden paths.

Experience guided snowshoe hikes through the snow-covered winter landscape together with a guide. You can also look forward to an alpine safety course with the Schwaz mountain rescue service, a cosy evening in a mountain hut with live music, snowshoe yoga and much more. All these wonderful experiences can be wonderfully combined.

In addition to the offer during the snowshoe hiking weeks, there are 20 signposted routes throughout the region, which will take you to hidden corners of the Inn Valley, to the sunny plateaus in the Tux Prealps, the high valleys and alpine pastures of the Karwendel. Here you can still discover the unknown beauty of winter between the Tux Alps and the Karwendel.

Impressions of the snowshoe hiking weeks 2025

  • Snowshoe hikes

Our guides accompanied the guests on a tour through snow-covered forests and romantic winter landscapes - a magical experience off the beaten track.

  • Snowshoe yoga

In the midst of the snowy winter landscape, the participants hiked along the path of the senses with an experienced yoga teacher - a perfect combination of movement, mindfulness and experiencing nature.

  • Snowshoe Olympics

The participants were challenged in the Snowshoe Olympics: The stick-throwing and snowball-throwing events required accuracy, the snowshoe biathlon demanded stamina and the beep search competition gave guests the chance to put their knowledge from the safety course to the test.

  • Alpine safety course

Participation in the safety course with an introduction to avalanche awareness and the use of Pieps devices was compulsory - and for good reason. Because in open terrain, safety comes first! No tour without preparation and the right equipment.
