Descent: In safe conditions you go back down the ascending track and then left over the wonderful hillsides westward down to the Nonsalm. Back on the Nonsweg to the Eggeraste and along the clear hills down to Innerst.
Starting point: Parking Lot Innerst (parking fee EUR 3,--/day)

At the end of the parking lot go left into the broad driveways (Nurpensalmweg). After 50 m (60 ft) begin of the ascent over a steep meadow, then back to the Nurpensalmweg, follow on the right side over about 100 m (120 ft). At 1.380 m (4,530 ft) go left into the Astenweg. After 50 m (60 ft) right over the steep alp meadows (alp = Aste; Unterbacheraste, Maxenhageraste, Oberschröckaste) upwards. At 1.590 m (5,220 ft) you reach the Eggeraste. Proceed into the forest way (Langbruggenweg). After a short distance of the track go right into the forest, from there few minutes to the Nonsalmweg. Cross it and proceed thorugh the forest in direction East. At 1.750 m (5,740 ft) leave the forest; you reach the Nonsalm. The Gilfert is straigt ahead, still about 800 m (2,620 ft) of altitude to conquer. At 1820 m (5,970 ft) flat ground ("Böckenloch). Steep track, half of the altitude lies already behind you. Follow the track over the Nonssattel at 2.200 m (7,220 ft) below "Wetterkreuz"; you'll reach your goal in a few minutes from there.

How to find:
From Innsbruck: Autobahn A12 to exit Wattens, then in direction Schwaz, Here go uphill to your right in Pill in direction Weerberg and on to Innerst.

From Kufstein: Autobahn exit Schwaz, in Schwaz to your right to Pill there to your left uphill to Weerberg.
