SILBERCARD
Privacy policy

This privacy policy informs the user of the SILBERCARD app (hereinafter referred to as the "app") about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the Silberregion Karwendel Tourism Association (hereinafter referred to as the "operator").

Personal data (e.g. name, email address, telephone number) is only processed and transmitted by the operator in a lawful manner - in particular to fulfil contractual obligations, due to overriding legitimate interests of the operator or on the basis of the user's consent.

If the lawfulness of specific data processing is based on the user's consent, this consent can be revoked at any time (even partially) by sending an email to v.kuenig@silberregion-karwendel.com. This may affect the functionality of the content offered in the app.

Furthermore, the user has a right to information about the personal data concerning him/her, to data portability, to rectification or erasure of personal data and to restriction of or objection to the processing of his/her personal data. The user can exercise these rights by sending an email to h.gruber@silberregion-karwendel.com.

Finally, the user has the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Wickenburggasse 8, 1080 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at) or with their competent supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 55 GDPR.

The lawfulness of the data processing is based on the Austrian Data Protection Act and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). The legal basis is specifically stated for each of the processing operations below.

Notwithstanding the deletion information provided below for the individual data processing operations, deletion will not take place insofar as the personal data to be deleted is used for other lawful processing operations (e.g. self-promotion, statutory retention periods) in accordance with this privacy policy.

REGISTRATION

GUEST DATA

By registering, the user gives their conclusive consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR that the personal data entered, first name, surname, address, date of birth, language, will be stored by the operator and used for the provision of additional content.

This personal data is stored for the duration of the registration or beyond in accordance with statutory retention periods. The purpose of further storage after the end of the SILBERCARD's period of use is to be able to identify the controller in the event of any legal violations. This is therefore in the overriding interest of the operator in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The following data can be provided voluntarily by a guest in the course of registration Telephone number, reason for travelling, photo, interests.

WHEN ACTIVATING THE SILVERCARD AT THE GUEST'S ACCOMMODATION OR AT OTHER REGISTRATION CENTRES

The following data is also collected when the SILBERCARD is activated: Accommodation, length of stay (date from/to). All registration data will be transmitted to the following recipients: Tourismusverband Silberregion Karwendel, the guest's respective accommodation, partner businesses when redeeming a benefit.

AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION VIA THE INTERFACE TO THE REGISTRATION SYSTEM

In order to enable automatic activation of the Silver Card, an interface to the electronic registration system of the company Feratel has been set up. Registration and use of the Silver Card is only possible if you agree to the following data synchronisation: After you have given your consent, the interface compares the guest's registration data from the Silbercard app with the data from the electronic registration system required by law in order to confirm the guest's period of stay. The period of stay determines which Silbercard variant the guest can use. The synchronisation takes place in a cyclical rhythm, which is why no data is stored here.

Your consent to data synchronisation is voluntary. If you do not wish to give your consent to data synchronisation, you can request a printed Silver Card. You can find details on this at https://silberregion-karwendel.com/de/silbercard

WHEN REDEEMING BENEFITS AT PARTICIPATING PARTNER ESTABLISHMENTS

The following data is recorded when the guest redeems benefits at a participating partner business: Benefit, time of redemption. This data is transmitted to the Silberregion Karwendel Tourism Association, to the respective partner business and to the guest's accommodation.
The following data categories are collected in anonymised form: Time spent in the SILBERCARD app, pages viewed in the SILBERCARD app, location, navigation behaviour in the app. This anonymised data is available to the Silberregion Karwendel tourism association.
The email addresses of editors and admins in the backend are only available to the Silberregion Karwendel tourism association.

DATA OF THE PARTNER COMPANIES

The following data of the partner companies are supplied via an interface and displayed to the Silberregion Karwendel tourist board: Name, ID, status, telephone number, e-mail address, website, address, coordination, teaser text, description text, image. Optionally, the following data can be entered in the backend by the Silberregion Karwendel Tourism Association: Mail address for user account, telephone number, e-mail address, title, first name, surname, IBAN, UID no., billing address. In addition to the Tourismusverband Silberregion Karwendel, the respective partner company has access to the data provided, provided that a user account has been set up by the partner company.

ACCOMMODATION DATA

The following accommodation data is supplied via an interface and displayed in the backend to the Silberregion Karwendel Tourism Association: Name, ID, status, telephone number, e-mail address, website, address, coordination, image. Only the Silberregion Karwendel Tourism Association has access to this data.

INTEREST-SPECIFIC PUSH MESSAGES OR DIRECT MAILINGS

The user has the option of indicating interests after logging into the SILBERCARD app. If the user does this, push messages or direct mailings based on this information will be sent to them. In this respect, this processing is carried out for direct marketing purposes. The indication of interests is voluntary and is not required for the use of SILBERCARD services.
The operator processes the information in order to create the most suitable offers possible. This processing operation is not intended to have a legal effect or a similarly detrimental result. The operator carries out this processing on the basis of its overriding legitimate interest.

The user can contact the operator and object to this form of processing if

the profiling is carried out for direct marketing purposes (Art. 21 (2) GDPR) or
the profiling is based on the legal basis of overriding legitimate interest (Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR).
APP AUTHORISATIONS

THE FOLLOWING AUTHORISATIONS ARE REQUIRED BY IOS AND ANDROID

Identity: Use: an account for the app is created on the device
Contacts Use: contact of the accommodation can be saved in the user's address book
Phone: Use: The hotel, room service, reception or various businesses in the region can be called from the app.
Photos/media/files/storage: Use: Contents of the app (texts, images) are saved on the device to be available offline
(optional) Internet access
(optional) Camera: Use: For optional profile picture
(optional) Push notifications
(optional) GPS position (distance display of the partner company)
MISCELLANEOUS

This privacy policy was updated on 13.03.2019. The operator reserves the right to make changes to this statement. The currently valid version can be found on the operator's website.

DISCLAIMER

If data roaming is deactivated, you can be sure that the device will not automatically connect to the Internet via the mobile phone network. All charges are the responsibility of the user.
