Heimatmuseum Mariasteiner Hof
...

Directly next to your four-star Hotel Mariasteinerhof is one of Tyrol's museums worth seeing: the local history museum presents highlights from the Alpine country's past, in particular the history of work and culture in Mariastein.

The town of Mariastein is famous not only for the local history museum in the Mariasteiner Hof and the Tyrol Castle Museum, but also for the Mariastein pilgrimage church. For centuries, hope-seekers have made pilgrimages to the Mariastein Chapel of Grace, which was built in 1460 by the Lords of Ebbs. 100 years later, Baron Karl von Schlurff bought the chapel and took the Tyrolean statue of the Virgin Mary with him to Bavaria.
