There are many beautiful ways to experience the fascinating places of silver-rich Schwaz history, but this option is by far the cosiest. "FUGGER EXPRESS of the Silver Region Karwendel" was christened the train that travels from the silver mine to the sights of the Silver City.
As was the case back then, the historic buildings of the Fuggerzeit stretch upwards, be it the preserved Fuggerhaus, the parish church or the Franciscan monastery. The FUGGER EXPRESS will drive you through the alleys and corners of Schwaz's old town, transporting you into a time marked by the glimmer of silver.
At a total of six stops, you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of the Silver City and to explore sights such as the Schwaz Town Hall and the Knappensteig, a themed trail around the then mining industry.
