Sacred Heart Festival

on the Weerberg

Living together
Church customs and a beautiful togetherness in the community Weerberg every year at the celebration of the Sacred Heart Festival. Even though the onslaught is enormous and there is popular festive mood throughout the village, the clerical event is as always in the foreground - with a holy mass and solemn procession, followed by a parish festival and living proof, a Christian relationship between young and old to experience in the present time.

Visitors from near and far want to be part of the procession as an expression of Roman Catholic spirituality, when the members of 30 clubs in their costumes on the corridors of Weerberg draw and symbolic saints and adorned altars wear.
With home-baked cakes and pies, over 1,300 Zillertal fritters (handmade) and around 1,600 Wiener Schnitzel (breaded by hand), you will experience culinary delights!

Noteworthy is the fact that Weerberg as the only North Tyrolean community does not lay this holiday like other parishes for the sake of simplicity on a Sunday, but really on the "day of the day" commits.
