Sacred Heart Feast

on the Weerberg

Lived togetherness
Ecclesiastical customs and a beautiful togetherness come together in the parish of Weerberg every year in the celebration of the Feast of the Sacred Heart. Even if the rush is enormous and in the whole village folk festival mood prevails, the clerical occasion is as ever in the foreground - with Holy Mass and solemn procession, with subsequent parish festival and the living proof to be able to experience a Christian for and with each other of young and old even in this day and age.

Visitors from near and far want to be part of the procession as an expression of Roman Catholic spirituality, when the members of 30 associations in their traditional costumes move through the corridors of Weerberg, carrying symbolic figures of saints and decorated altars.
Through homemade cakes and pies, over 1,300 Zillertaler Krapfen (handmade) and around 1,600 Wiener Schnitzel (breaded by hand), you will experience culinary delights!

Noteworthy is the fact that Weerberg is the only North Tyrolean municipality this holiday not like other parishes for the sake of simplicity on a Sunday, but really on the "day of days", celebrates.
