The suspension bridge circuit on Kolsassberg & Weerberg is a varied circular walk for anyone who wants to experience nature and feel a little adventure at the same time. The route leads through dense forests, past flowering meadows and over two impressive suspension bridges, which were newly built in 2020 and span the Weerbach stream – a real highlight.- Walking time: approx. 1.5–2 hours
- Suitable for: nature lovers, amateur photographers
- Recommendation: good footwear – some passages are steep or narrow

| Directions: | There are numerous starting points along the route. This route description starts at the Kolsassberg municipal office. From there, it is about 200 metres downhill to the Rettenberg ruins. The trail follows the signs to the front suspension bridge, which leads impressively over the stream. After crossing, a steeply ascending path leads up to the Maxnhagerhof. Keep to the right there, following first the asphalt road and then the gravel road until you reach the sign for the rear suspension bridge. A turnoff to the right leads down to the second bridge and back up on the Kolsassberg side. Once at the top, pass a farm and continue towards Jägerhof back to the municipal office. |
