The Kellerjochbahn cable car takes you up to the Hecherhaus and from there on to the Kellerjochhütte. You are rewarded with sweeping views of the Inn Valley and the Karwendel Mountains opposite – a panorama that invites you to pause and reflect, making the moment in the clear mountain air unforgettable.

Directions:Route:
  • From the Kellerjochbahn car park, take the Kellerjochbahn cable car to the Hecherhaus or, alternatively, walk along the old Kellnersteig trail or the toboggan run (Hecherweg).
  • From the Hecherhaus, continue right towards Naunzstand and on to the Kellerjochhütte.
  • Return via the same route or via the steeper Arbeserkolgel (Hiking poles recommended) to the Hecherhaus.
  • From there, take the Kellerjochbahn or, alternatively, walk back to the car park via the toboggan run (Hecherweg).

Tip from the author:This hike is a permanent trail of the Austrian Volkssport Association (ÖVV).
