Silver region Karwendel
A nature vacation combined with a lot of culture

Welcome to the Silberregion Karwendel

Come along on a journey through a region that combines old and new in a respectful way. Be curious about the special features that each individual community is happy to present to you. Just stroll along or set delightfully brisk step by step to conquer the summer nature of the mountains on Karwendel vacation.

Who loves movement, has already won in the Silver Region. Not only family-friendly excursion destinations like the Risstal with its oldest alpine village in Europe - the Engalm - and its show dairy attract. Even ambitious mountain enthusiasts will find their paradise here and show themselves tread resistant on the Loassattel, the hiking trails of the Kellerjoch lookout mountain and on the Gilfert.
Guided hikes take our guests to places as mysterious as they are magnificent throughout the Silberregion Karwendel.

Who prefers the bike or mountain bike to hiking boots can look forward - alone or with the whole family - to leisurely bike cruising - which is made possible by the bike paths on and around the Innradweg. For mountain bikers, there are 42 mountain bike tours, totaling more than 1000 km of trail.

Culture lovers get their money's worth in the region no less. Probably the most famous sight in Schwaz is the silver mine. Right next to it - in the YOUR DOME - you can watch exciting films in the 360-degree cinema, in the exciting Tratzberg Castle even children have a lot of fun visiting, the historic railroads of the Achensee steam rack railroad and the Zillertal Railway melt the hearts of railroad enthusiasts. And finally, the old town of Schwaz invites you to stroll and linger.
