A nature holiday combined with a lot of culture

Welcome to the silver region Karwendel

Join us on a journey through a region that combines old and new in a respectful way. Be curious about the special features that every single municipality likes to present to you. Just wander around or enjoy a leisurely pace, step by step, to conquer the summery nature of the mountains in the Karwendel holiday.

Who loves movement, has already won in the silver region. Not only family-friendly destinations such as the Risstal with its oldest alpine village in Europe - the Engalm - and its cheese dairy attract. Even ambitious mountain enthusiasts will find their paradise here and show themselves on the Loassattel, the hiking trails of the Kellerjoch and the Gilfert.
Guided hikes bring our guests to such secretive and magnificent places in the entire silver region Karwendel.

If you prefer cycling or mountain biking to your hiking boots, you can look forward to leisurely bike cruising on your own or with the whole family - which is made possible by the cycle paths on and around the Inn Cycle Path. For mountain bikers, there are 42 mountain bike tours that cover a total of more than 1000 km.

Culture lovers are no less in the region at their expense. The most famous attraction in Schwaz is the silver mine. Right next to it - in the Planetarium - you are close enough to touch the stars, in the exciting Tratzberg Castle children will also enjoy the sightseeing, the historic cable cars of the Achensee Steam Cog Railway and the Zillertal Railway will melt the heart of railroad enthusiasts. And finally, the old town of Schwaz invites you to stroll and linger.
