Maurach - Dalfaz Alm - Dalfazer Wasserfall - Maurach

This varied hike combines shady forest paths with sunny sections and offers great views of the mountains and the Dalfaz waterfall.

From the valley station of the Rofan cable car, follow the path past the hotel Naturhotel Alpenblick until you reach the wooden bridge. After the bridge, the forest road turns left and after ca. 300 metres a narrow trail branches off to the right. The trail climbs to the Durraalm (not serviced) by way of switchbacks. Walk along the Durrawand until you reach the Dalfaz Alm (2,5 hours). From the Dalfaz Alm, take the switchback trail to the valley past the Teisslalm (not serviced). Continue along the well-signposted trail to the viewing platform near the Dalfaz waterfall. Be sure to take a break on the viewing platform before descending to the valley. At the end of the waterfall trail, you reach a forest path that takes you back to the valley station of the Rofan cable car.
