The Achensee 5-summit via ferrata offers steep ferrata passages and hiking sections over a length of 2km. It connects 5 peaks with routes of varying difficulty.
Steep via ferrata section in the Rofan mountains resembling the Dolomites, with many clusters of edelweiss flowers. The most impressive passage on the Rosskopf via ferrata is the entrance wall and the yellow upswing above it.

| Approach: | From the top station of the Rofan cable car, follow the Grubersteig trail in the direction of the Rofanspitze. At the Grubascharte, turn left in the direction of the Spieljoch until you are below the reddish walls of the Rosskopf before you follow the tracks to the starting point. |

| Getting there: | The valley station of the Rofan cable car is situated just off the B181 Achensee main road, above the centre of Maurach. Ascent with the gondola. |
| Public transport: | Take the regional bus (line 8332, 4080 or 390) to the Rofan cable car in Maurach. Get off at the "Maurach a. A. Rofan Seilbahn" stop. |
| Descent: | From the summit cross, climb down the via ferrata to the saddle. Continue along the footprints until you arrive at the Seekarlsteig hiking trail. |
| Parking: | Car park Rofan Seilbahn 1 or 2 (paid parking; Rofan cable car passengers receive a refund at the ticket office). |
