Ski Museum - Silberregion Karwendel

Ski Museum
Museum & exhibition

The fashionable sport of “skiing” was tried here for the first time 150 years ago.

Nowadays, we all race down the slopes with the latest, most colourful and fastest skis. But what was it like to ski back then? The private collection displayed at Bio Hotel Grafenast is accessible to all interested parties and demonstrates how snow loving ski enthusiasts used to make their way down from the mountain to the valley. A nostalgic look back on the history of skiing is on display at Bio Hotel Grafenast, where art-loving day-trippers can look forward to combining this interesting exhibition with magnificent views over the valley.
