414 - Gallzein – Buch – Strass
Mountainbike tour

Medium difficulty, very beautiful circuit through the Zillertal and the Inn Valley.

You start in Fügen and follow the Alsphaltstraße in northeastern direction, crossing the villages of Schlitters and Strass. The next village at the twelfth kilometre is Buch in Tirol. From here it gets exciting - the ascent up to Gallzein begins here, where you will find a beautiful alpine hut in Koglmoos to stop off in the middle of the Gallzein forest. After Koglmoos you continue along the good road to the Lackenhütte, which is at the highest point of the route (1626 m). From here, through the Wildau forest, a wonderful and varied descent awaits you, not too winding. After about 33 km you reach the village of Fügenberg, from where it is only a few minutes back to the starting point.

Special feature: On this tour you will find some natural treasures, such as the popular Buch Waterfall. In the Gallzein area you will also find some chapels from the silver mining period.

TIP: This circular route can also be used in the opposite direction.
