Schutzhütte Kellerjochhütte - Österr. Alpenverein

Sky, mountains, wide views - the Kellerjoch hut is situated at 2,237m on the summit of the Kellerjoch massif, overlooking the highest mountain peaks of Austria and Germany.

From the mountain station at Hecherhaus, we follow the sign "Kellerjochhütte" to the east along a beautiful hiking trail. The Kellerjoch path leads south past the Arbeserkogel and continues along the wide ridge towards the already visible hut. Finally, it gets a bit steeper on the mountain path to the Kellerjoch hut.

Our hut is spectacularly located at the summit of the Kellerjoch massif (Tux Pre-Alps) with views of the highest mountain peaks of Austria and Germany, including Grossglockner & Zugspitze! The Inn Valley and Zillertal lie at our feet and the unparalleled 360° panoramic view of the most prominent peaks and mountain ranges of the Eastern Alps fascinates at eye level.
