Regionality means working in harmony with the geographical and cultural conditions of a region. It conveys the authenticity and uniqueness of its inhabitants, customs and products and thus gives each region its unique selling point, its very own, unmistakable identity. Which values does the tourism association Silberregion Karwendel want to represent in its brand strategy, if not its own.
Regional products attract more and more people because of their typical performance history. Purchase confidence and experience arise from the direct encounter. In this way, an emotional bond is also established with the region, its places, its people, its history and its products. Regional products carry those characteristics that define the environment in which they are produced. That is why regional products are exclusive. They cannot be produced in isolation from their surroundings.
During a stay in the Silberregion Karwendel, you can look forward to a veritable fireworks display of culinary delights, no matter what your epicurean heart beats for. Numerous Tyrolean inns as well as restaurants and huts listed by gourmet guides such as Gault Millau will delight you with regional specialties and local delicacies and delights. Culinary festivities such as the Schwaz Wine Festival from June 29 to 30 and the 1st Tyrolean Honey Days Schwaz from October 5 to 6 additionally testify to the living commitment to the regional in the Silberregion Karwendel.

But there are special treasures in the Silberregion Karwendel in many places. Previously unknown treasures
or products that are made in the region - from traditional craftsmanship to epicurean delicacies - are now also united in one place: namely in the Silver Region Shop in the old town of Schwaz.

In this "treasure chamber" lure original unique items such as a sleek Gallzeiner toboggan or rustic wooden buds from the Weerberg. Swiss stone pine building blocks for children can be discovered in the new store in the old town, as can culinary treasures from the region: including honey from local beekeepers, Engalm cheese and the full-bodied Freundsberg 66 craft beer. A steadily growing number of local producers present their consistently lovingly made products in the treasure chamber.

We want to increase the appreciation of local products among locals and guests alike. Visitors we also inform in our treasure chamber about all excursion opportunities in the region and activities as well as customs events.
A special treasure is the "Silberzehner", a separate means of payment, with which you can easily fulfill your wishes in the region. The treasure trove, i.e. the Silver Region Shop, is not just another measure to revitalize Schwaz's city center, but it will enhance the region with its artisanal and culinary riches by putting quality products from the region on display, thus strengthening local producers.
