Gallzein

Wide views at low altitude - Welcome to Gallzein
Gallzein (825 metres above sea level) lies on a terrace overlooking the Inn - at the foot of the northern foothills of the Tuxer Voralpen.
Due to the small number of inhabitants - about 700 people live here - everybody knows everyone and is there when the hat burns. This cohesion is also transferred to the holidaymakers in the region. Not only the warmth and tranquillity of Gallzeiner citizens, but also the tranquillity and beauty of nature contribute to the fact that this cosy village is a real recreation area for visitors of the silver region.
At first glance, the municipality of Gallzein does not appear to be an unusual village, but if you go on a discovery tour, you will be surprised again and again by the unspoilt nature and the "on the ground" man. The Bucherbach - still called Schwadererbach by the locals - flows through the community of Gallzein in a deep ditch. It flows into the Inn at Buch in Tyrol. To the east of the ditch lie the hamlets Hochgallzein, Niederleiten and Schöllerberg. West of it are the hamlets of Kogelmoos, Hof, Wahrbühel and Gattern with noses, Axdorf and Gasteig.
Those who set off on a hike or walk in Gallzein should not miss a visit to the Kogelmoosalm. The landlords enchant their guests with extraordinary delicacies. The ingredients for the natural food are usually picked directly in the herb garden on their own doorstep or in the nearby forest. The idyllic path to Gallzein's local mountain gives a glimpse of the wonderful nature up there.
