There are numerous beautiful ways to experience the fascinating places of Schwaz's silver-rich history, but this option is probably by far the most comfortable. "FUGGER EXPRESS of the Silberregion Karwendel" was christened the train that travels from the silver mine to the sights of the silver town.

Real as back then, the historic buildings of the Fugger era stretch up into the air, be it the preserved Fuggerhaus, the town parish church or the Franciscan monastery. The FUGGER EXPRESS will take you through the alleys and corners of Schwaz's old town, transporting you to a time characterized by the shimmer of silver.

At a total of six stops, you have the opportunity to delve deeper into the history of the silver city and explore sights such as the Schwaz town hall and the Knappensteig, a themed trail around mining at the time. You can truly dive deep into the kilometer-long underground network of the silver mine.

Designed as a hop-on/hop-off bus, you can take your time, relax and experience Schwaz history in a decelerated way. The time spent on the FUGGER EXPRESS would also be put to good use, as the charming voice of Madame Galerista whisks you away to bygone days via loudspeakers and tells of the poverty, power and wealth of the silver city of Schwaz.
