The Weißlahn circular walk takes you along easy-to-walk paths – suitable even for pushchairs – across meadows and fields, through the woods and past the lake, with the region’s stunning mountain scenery always in view.

Path surface:	An easy, pleasant walk with very little elevation gain, on which pushing a pushchair is no problem at all.
Directions:	Route description: The starting point is the village square in Terfens. From here, follow the Spitzarche stream southwards and turn left at the fork in the path. Continuing along the path, you will soon reach the Weißlahn swimming lake, which is perfect for a swim during the warm summer months – either straight away or once you’ve finished the hike. Continuing along the path, you will soon reach the edge of the “Terfener Forchat”, a wooded area between Terfens and Vomperbach, which you then enter. It provides wonderful shade on hot summer days. Heading north, you walk through the forest and also follow parts of the Planetary Nature Trail, where you can learn interesting facts about our solar system. Almost at the northern end of the forest, you take a sharp left turn and follow the path south-west, leaving the Forchat behind. The route takes you back through fields to the starting point. Would you like to walk the trail in the opposite direction and finish it off with a dip in the cool waters of the Weißlahn? That’s no problem at all – simply follow the signposts in reverse order.
