Directions:Route description:
  • Walk past the Maria Larch pilgrimage chapel; after the church, turn right into the Larchtal valley towards Gnadenwald, keeping to the right throughout.
  • Just before Gnadenwald there is a fairly steep climb, which is why this route is not suitable for pushchairs.
  • At the top, the beautiful sunny plateau of Gnadenwald awaits! Now walk along the right-hand side for approx. 300 m towards Terfens. Then turn left onto the footpath leading to Umlberg
  • At Umlberg/in the Terfens municipal area, follow the road for a short distance (approx. 1 km) down towards the valley, past old farmhouses decorated with flowers. In mild weather, you’ll find Haflinger horses in the paddock and cows grazing in the meadows here.
  • At the end of the hamlet of Umlberg, please take the left-hand turn (in winter this is a toboggan run) and head back to the starting point at the village square in Terfens.

By car: A12 Inntal motorway, take the Schwaz Vomp exit, then follow the road towards Terfens to the car park at Terfens parish church
