Wolfgang Schwaiger from Fieberbrunn/Tyrol in no way claims to be a good photographer, he has become better known as a filmmaker, a passion he started back in the 1980s with Super 8 feature films. Writing is another of his hobbies. Nevertheless, this is not his first photo exhibition; the basis of his pictures are everyday stories, taken in portrait or landscape format. He selects a square section from these images, decolors them and places a text underneath. It is in the nature of things that new perspectives and stories suddenly emerge. The texts often have almost nothing to do with the picture, but they stimulate the imagination and sometimes make you smile. For the exhibition at Erbario, he has chosen a new design, which he calls Red Line, and has it printed on high-quality paper. Creation beats perfection.
