Pleasure hike over the Lamsenjoch into the Eng
We’ll meet at the Stans Swimming Pool parking lot. From there, we’ll take a taxi to Bärenrast. Accompanied by our guide, this beautiful hike starts at the Bärenrast and leads us at a leisurely pace through an impressive gorge forest before crossing vast alpine meadows into the high mountains to the Lamsenjochhütte (1,935 m). This tour is designed as a traverse and leads right into the Karwendel Nature Park—Austria’s largest nature park. After a leisurely lunch break at the Lamsenjochhütte, we’ll descend into Eng—Tyrol’s largest alpine village—toward Großer Ahornboden.
The return trip departs at 3:30 p.m. from the Eng parking lot on the Silberregion Karwendel hiking bus to the Stans swimming pool parking lot.
The hike is generally free of charge; however, a fee is required for the bus back to Stans. (Discount available with the Silbercard)
Sure-footedness and good physical conditioning are required for the 1,000 Hm ascent.
