"ADOLF LUCHNER 100" Exhibition

Exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of Adolf Luchner's birth: "A Little Bit of Everything—and Much More"

The exhibition is open through August 30, 2026, Thursdays through Sundays from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Adolf Luchner (1926–1995) is one of Schwaz’s most influential artists. His influence extended far beyond his own artistic work: as an exhibition curator, a driving force behind Schwaz’s art scene, and an educator, he made a significant contribution to the town’s cultural development. As early as the 1960s, he was entrusted by the Cultural Committee of the City of Schwaz with the conception and organization of exhibitions. As chairman of the Rabalderhaus, he played a decisive role in shaping the institution’s exhibition program and cultural profile for decades.

The close intertwining of visual art, art education, textbook illustration, and cultural engagement makes him a key figure in Schwaz’s cultural life during the second half of the 20th century. To mark his 100th birthday, the Rabalderhaus is not dedicating a retrospective to him in the traditional sense, but rather a comprehensive exhibition that seeks to capture the artist in all his facets.

Opening hours: June 25 through August 30, 2026, Thursdays through Sundays, 4:00–7:00 p.m.

Guided tours: Sunday, June 28, July 26, and August 30, 2026, at 5 p.m.

Exhibition talk: Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 7 p.m.
