KLANGSPUREN SCHWAZ - YOU WILL BE BORN HERE
Colonial traces, urban sounds and live musicians transform the historic site into a soundscape
Composer Tamara Miller transforms the historic Rabalderhaus into a vibrant soundscape that bridges the past and the present. In her concert installation “Aqui nacen; poco importa dónde o cómo,” traces of colonialism intertwine with contemporary soundscapes. Sounds from Latin American metropolises, música criolla, and pop music blend from the speakers, while five musicians (vocals, trumpets, percussion) perform on sound islands distributed throughout the space. Recorded footsteps and voices from the audience return in altered form—the house sounds a little different with each pass through.
