Mozart's Requiem - An evening of dance by Enrique Gasa Valga

With Mozart's Requiem , Enrique Gasa Valga sets one of the most impressive and enigmatic works in music history in motion. In the SZentrum Schwaz, a world premiere specially conceived for this venue is a choreographic exploration of grief, transcendence and the inescapable beauty of transience. The unfinished Requiem in D minor (KV 626) serves not as a mere template, but as a starting point for an intense dialog between sound and body.

The renowned Limonada Dance Company approaches the work with contemporary dance not as an illustration, but as an independent artistic language that explores the tension between the composed and the unfinished. The dancers become a resonance chamber for Mozart's music: they embody sadness and dignity, silence and turmoil. Sometimes they follow the breath of the composition, sometimes they counter it with their own rhythm as if they were simultaneously refusing and accepting the farewell. The evening does not seek answers to the big questions of life and death. Rather, it poses the questions that arise in the face of death and locates them in the body itself: in its vulnerability, its exhaustion and its inexhaustible strength.

A poetic and intense evening of dance that shows that the body speaks a language that needs no words and can therefore say everything.
