GuiTanza - Spanish music for guitar & dance
Passion, rhythm and virtuosity on stage
Movement and music merge to create an intense flamenco experience, inspired by Andalusian folklore and the power of traditional dance. The focus is on the combination of expressive dance and classical Spanish guitar music.
The dancer Maryem Torres trained in Granada and perfected her style with renowned artists in Madrid, Seville and Jerez. In addition to flamenco, she studied classical and contemporary dance as well as piano. Since 2014, she has performed internationally on stages in Europe and North America, including regularly in the famous caves of Sacromonte.
The Austrian-Argentine duo Duo MüllerFunes have been delighting audiences with their virtuoso guitar artistry for years. Concert tours have taken them through Europe and South America, including to the Conservatorio Reina Sofía in Madrid and renowned festivals. Their debut album Musica Latina was released in 2023.
Guitarists Raúl Ernesto Funes and Daniel Müller are among the leading representatives of their field and combine technical brilliance with musical depth.
