With the ranger in the Eng

Enjoyable tour over the Lamsenjoch to the Almendorf Eng
Accompanied by a nature park rancher, this beautiful hike leads from the Bärenrast at a leisurely pace through an imposing ravine forest before it goes over extensive alpine pastures into the high alpine mountains to the Lamsenjochhütte (1,935m).

This tour is designed as a crossing and leads right into the Karwendel Nature Park - the largest nature park in Austria. After an extensive lunch break at the Lamsenjochhütte, we descend into Eng - the largest alpine village in Tyrol - in the direction of Großer Ahornboden.
You can then return comfortably with the hiking bus in the Silberregion Karwendel.

A taxi brings us back to the Bärenrast car park

Surefootedness and fitness for 1,000 m in the ascent are required.
Tour dates: Walking time: approx. 6 h (3.5 h ascent, 2.5 h descent)
Distance: 12.5 km (8 km ascent, 4.5 km descent)
