Advent Cinema: Oh du Zwidere! Eva Spreitzhofer's Christmas chamber play takes the piss out of current gender and climate debates
A comedy about the impositions of the pandemic, vegan geese, intolerances of all kinds and the difficulty of understanding that some people's solutions are other people's disasters. Christmas is not normally atheist, feminist surgeon Wanda's favorite holiday. And certainly not in times of the pandemic, when her own father is organizing coronavirus demonstrations, her daughter thinks she's in the wrong body and her ex-husband's new wife has recently become a Reiki therapist. What have we done to deserve this again?
Atheist, feminist surgeon Wanda (Caroline Peters) wants this patchwork Christmas in the middle of the pandemic to be the most harmonious ever. But when daughter Nina (Chantal Zitzenbacher) provocatively claims that she is in the wrong body and is planning a transition, the evening begins to escalate. Gradually, the secrets of all the family members come to light and the evening escalates completely.
