Piano recital - main concert with piano duo Wei Xie and Prof. Thomas Kreuzberger
When two join forces, concentrated energy becomes visible and audible: on Thursday, October 16, the Landesmusikschule Schwaz presents a special concert in cooperation with the Lions Club Schwaz in the acoustically appealing Meistersingerfoyer, SZentrum.
At 19:00, talented piano duos from the music school will demonstrate their skills on the large Bösendorfer concert grand piano in the pre-concert, after the break at 20:15, the internationally successful piano duo Wei Xie and Prof. Thomas Kreuzberger from Vienna will perform. The varied program includes virtuoso works by Emil von Sauer, Antonin Dvorák, Johannes Brahms and George Gershwin. This year's annual regent Johann Strauss Sohn, who would have been 200 years old this October, is also represented as a composer in the program.
The young Chinese pianist Wei Xie began playing the piano at the age of four and has enjoyed an exemplary career as a successful pianist. Prof. Thomas Kreuzberger, professor emeritus of piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, is a sought-after juror of international piano competitions, teacher and soloist worldwide and is making his first guest appearance in Schwaz with his piano duo.
