KLANGSPUREN SCHWAZ, AIRBORNE EXTENDED

24.09.2025
20:00 O'Clock

Recorders and Paetzold flutes, transverse flutes, harp and harpsichord - that doesn't necessarily sound like contemporary music. But that is exactly what Airborne Extended stands for. Elena Gabbrielli, Sonja Leipold, Caroline Mayrhofer and Tina Žerdin combine their instruments with electronics, visual media, objects and performance with airy lightness. Having started out in Tyrol, they now have a successful concert series in Vienna (Prism) and have premiered almost 100 pieces in just over a decade. At Klangspuren Schwaz, four more will be added: Anda Kryeziu layers complex sound textures on a rhythmic framework and performs herself on an analog synthesizer. Live images react directly to the sounds. In addition to the instruments, Anna Korsun also co-composed the voices of the four musicians. Andrzey Kwieciński adds another chapter to his series of pieces inspired by video games, and Bernhard Gander also focuses on action: he sends the baroque instruments on an unusually groovy trip. There are also two pieces from the rich repertoire of Airborne Extended: Manuel Zwerger's Rave Party for kidz: level 2 and Prism by Alisa Kobzar.
