Martin Frank - It's probably me

You want to know what my new cabaret program is about? I have to disappoint you. I can't tell you today what kind of act I'll be performing tomorrow. Maybe today I'll make fun of milk alternatives and tomorrow I'll be diagnosed with lactose intolerance. Maybe today I'll make fun of gender stereotyping and tomorrow I'll feel like a hydrangea in an orchid's body. Maybe today I'll stick myself on the highway in public and tomorrow I'll go on a private cruise through the Mediterranean with my mom.

But I should issue a trigger warning just in case. Because something in this program is sure to hurt feelings. Be it my absurd observations from everyday life, rendered in my country-rustic style, or the one Italian aria that will remind you of your forceps birth.

If you ask me, cabaret and comedy is more like a choice of person anyway. Either you like me and we have a nice evening together or you don't like me and send me your mother-in-law. Whichever way you look at it, it's probably me!

Martin Frank or Frank Martin?

Whether on television or live on stage, the young man with the first name Martin has become an integral part of the Bavarian cabaret scene. Born in 1992 as a summer child in the middle of stable work in Lower Bavaria, he was shaped early on by the tension between art and the cowshed, which flowed seamlessly into commuting between the countryside and the big city.

Martin is a cabaret artist, author, actor and a singing student who was rejected by all music academies. His awards include the Bavarian Cabaret Prize (2018), the Prix Pantheon in Bonn (2019) and the Großer Kleinkunstpreis in Berlin (2019). Martin Frank is currently touring the German-speaking world with his fourth cabaret program "Wahrscheinlich liegt's an mir".
