Literaturforum Schwaz: Reading with Susanne Gregor
Reading with the author Susanne Gregor: Halbe Leben (Zsolnay Verlag 2025)
The content of the Buch:
Klara is dead, having crashed while hiking. The only person with her was Paulína, a Slovakian woman who hired Klara after her mother's stroke. Her mother had finally been taken care of. Klara could devote herself to her career again, her husband could enjoy his freedom. In the meantime, Paulina's own children were looked after by her mother-in-law. Everything was wonderfully organized, very simple. Everyone liked Paulína and thanked her with gifts for services and extra services. Weren't they actually friends? In clear, unpretentious language, Susanne Gregor tackles the big issues that affect us all and tells of the inequality between two women, between two lives.
