After Landeck and Imst, Werner Burtscher's latest issue of aut: info focuses on the district capital of Schwaz and once again offers a city walk based on his analyses.
Starting from the train station, which is located in a younger part of Schwaz, the walk leads along Bahnhofsstraße to the former site of the tobacco factory, where the parameters of the modern city are shown in the context of the existing buildings. Along the avenue and the protective structures of the Lahnbach stream, the route leads up to the upper part of the town, past the special features described in the town engraving, such as the recreational areas located at different levels.
At the height of the Rabalderhaus, the route continues through more or less anonymous architecture, measured by the level of awareness of the planners, to the Stadtpark and through the alleys and squares of the old town to the new quarter on Raiffeisenplatz, the adjacent Mathoigarten and the fragment of a perimeter block development of a residential complex built by Austria Tabakwerke. Via Gilmstraße and Burggasse, you finally reach the end of the city walk at Pfundplatz.
