Pension Goldadler is a real goldmine. Everything is going splendidly and director Herbert Plattlinger is extremely satisfied. In the stress of everyday working life, things can sometimes be forgotten, such as the extension of the lease. No problem, let's just do it later, but Herbert hasn't reckoned with the owner who wants to sell everything and is very pleased about this omission. No amount of talking helps, the guesthouse is put up for sale, the buyer is practically on the doorstep and Herbert's livelihood is in grave danger. In desperation, he quickly changes the name of Pension Goldadler to Pension Pleitegeier. Everything is done to present a run-down project to the potential buyer in order to perhaps prevent a sale. Unfortunately, things get even worse, be it with the nymphomaniac guest Una Settlich or with his old friend Fritz - one defeat follows the next - the downfall is unstoppable - but then things turn out quite differently than one could have imagined.
