In memoriam Pepi Rubisoier

What made Pepi Rubisoier so special was his uncompromising modesty. He only ever wanted to serve, help and be there for others. His fascination with photography, which was evident from a young age, and his love of the mountains meant that he would lug his equipment into the mountains for hours on end to take impressive photos.
The scope of his equipment was impressive. What many mountain enthusiasts, whom he accompanied on various mountain tours, did not know was the equipment in his darkroom at home, which contained everything a professional photographer needed to produce brilliant images. Such a high level of expenditure is more than unusual for an amateur, but the result was that at the end of such tour weeks, Pepi presented all participants with a whole series of first-class glossy pictures in sizes up to 24 x 30 cm. The fact that he didn't even allow himself to be paid for the materials was because it would have been an insult to Pepi if he had allowed himself to be paid.
This exhibition will show a cross-section of his work, in memory of a particularly talented Jenbacher whose modesty characterized him as a person.
