Eight world premieres by the participants of the Klangspuren Composers Lab 2024:

The works composed especially for the NAMES Ensemble by the eight participants of the Composers Lab will be premiered on this evening. Together with the composer and Harvard composition professor Chaya Czernowin and the composer and organist Francesco Filidei as well as the NAMES Ensemble under Gregor Mayrhofer, the participants of the Composers Lab 2024 spent a week working on their ideas, musical approaches and the concrete shaping of their inspirations and subjected them to a reality check during the master class. For the audience, this concert is a completely open situation. They do not know what they will hear and cannot adjust their ears in advance based on the program or the names they already know. Listeners have to adjust to each individual work anew and allow themselves to be surprised without reservation!
