The Christmas season kicks off in the silver city with the lighting of the Christmas tree in front of Schwaz parish church. The traditional ceremony with torchlight procession and march-in transforms the town into a glowing winter wonderland, with the children of the Falkenstein Kindergarten, the youth fire department and the wind section of a Schwaz band playing along.
