Bird excursion with volunteer ornithologist Claudia Schröder
The area around Tratzberg Castle is a protected part of the landscape and an interesting place to observe birds, especially in the fall. Along the near-natural watercourse, kingfishers swoop over the water, migratory birds rest in the harvested fields and small woodpeckers make their home in the alluvial forest, which is rich in dead wood. During a 3-hour walk, we will use our ears and binoculars to track down the birdlife and learn lots of interesting facts about the local birds.Bring your own binoculars, sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing
