The Silberregion Karwendel is known for its down-to-earth cuisine with many fresh, local products. Here, the widely known Loas Schnitzel, the award-winning cheese from the Eng or the May butter from the Bucherwirt come onto the plates. High up on the Pillberg you will find the highest winery in Tyrol - the fruit winery Paprikawein. The basis for the delicious drops provide local fruits, harvested around the Silberregion Karwendel. When the short season of migala gets underway, the people of Schwaz run hot. Some people really hoard the traditional pastry and the recipe is top secret. The Migala is only available at All Souls' Day.
