The monastery with its magnificent baroque collegiate church is one of the outstanding cultural sites of the Lower Inn Valley.

The Abbey of St. Georgenberg-Fiecht of the Benedictine Congregation of St. Ottilien (OSB) is one of the two oldest monasteries in North Tyrol. Today it consists of two monasteries about an hour's walk from each other, namely the monastery Fiecht in Vomp and the pilgrimage place St. Georgenberg in the municipality Stans.
