The village lies at 560 metres above sea level at the foot of the Kellerjoch. With its 2,400 inhabitants, Buch in Tyrol is an insider tip for relaxing holidays – far away from stress and hectic pace. The cozy community offers some hidden places that bring you closer to nature.

On a hike in the apparently inconspicuous village you will discover many a unique piece that you will not find a second time in the whole of Tyrol.
Along the Bible Trail you embark on a wonderful journey into the past. The largest spruce tree in Tyrol, the Notburgakapelle chapel, the Rottenburg castle ruin and the Bucher waterfall, among other things, can be found. In the Middle Ages, these places were centres of noblemen and noblemen as well as the economic hub and administrative centre of Tyrol. In the 13th century, Saint Notburga spent about 20 years as a maid with the counts of Rottenburg. The Notburgasteig, a walking and hiking path, was created in her honour.
