From Bregenz and from Munich, you can reach the Silberregion Karwendel by car via the Inntalautobahn A12 (toll), exit Jenbach, Schwaz or Vomp.

• Vignette obligation in Austria:
  If your route takes you via the highway, attach a vignette to your windshield early. The automobile clubs, gas stations and border crossing stations have them ready at all times. For short vacations, a 10-day vignette is suitable. For longer or more frequent visits to Tyrol, the 2-month or annual vignette is worthwhile. • The Digital Vignette!
  Since 2018, there has been an innovative, convenient and contemporary alternative to the adhesive vignette for car and motorcycle owners with the Digital Vignette. As of now, you can buy your Digital Vignette in the Webshop or via the app Unterwegs. Just like the adhesive vignette, there are both ten-day, two-month and annual vignettes. There is also no difference in cost - the same validity period and the same prices.

to the Ris Valley

You can reach the Risstal with your own car from Munich via Bad Tölz and from Tyrol via the Achensee.

The approx. 15km long toll road through the last part of the Risstal from Hinterriss to the world-famous Eng opens up a unique natural jewel in the Karwendel to thousands of visitors every year.

Nearly behind the former ducal alpine farm, the ticket office marks the beginning of the toll road through the middle of the unique large maple ground and the natural idyll of the Risstal and ends at the large parking lot at the alpine inn Eng.

A 15km journey with a natural fascination that will certainly captivate every visitor. The toll road is thereby not only the starting point of numerous hikes to the Eng-Alm, on the Falkenhütte, the Binsalm, the Lamsenjochhütte etc., but also offers in its course no less than 10 designated parking spaces.

Please note that the 15 km long road through the last part of the Risstal

• is open only in the summer months, usually between the beginning of May and the end of October
• For the trip tolls accrue: Car € 4.50, motorcycle € 3.50, camper € 7.-, bus € 0.90 per passenger, vacation guest € 7.- per stay
• The unique natural landscape under special protection. Camping and camping prohibited, vehicles may only be parked in approved parking areas. Mountain bike tours please only on designated routes.

to the Ris Valley

Travel by train to the Risstal:
You can travel by train to Bad Tölz or to Lenggries, from there a mountaineering bus will take you to Hinterriss and to the Eng Almen in the summer months.
