The medium-difficulty Hofwald Trail is winding and runs mainly through the forest. Starting from the Bärfallweg trail, the trail initially heads south to the Planötzenhof farm. From there, the single trail then heads west and joins the forest road in Sadrach at the start of the Unterer Hofwald MTB route (MTB 5001).
