Grafenser Sennhütte

One almost has the impression of being in the Canadian highlands up here at 1,750 m, but thank God there are no bears up there.
The 2016 newly renovated mountain hut is beautifully situated and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain peaks.  Numerous hikes and bike tours attract nature lovers.  Something very special is the hike to the foot of the 2,642 m high Hippold, of course only if your physical condition allows it.  The barren, icy and snowy area below the hippold, with its fields of shimmering green slate and rocks, coupled with the impressive and unforgettable view, reward every hiker or biker.  You feel like you're in another world up there.

On a good 45 m² the alpine hut offers space for 4 persons.  On the ground floor you reach the cosy eat-in kitchen and a bedroom with 2 single beds via the anteroom.  The mezzanine is accessed via a separate entrance, where there is a spacious bathroom with shower and toilet and behind it is the second bedroom with a double bed.  The garden of the hut is fenced so that no cows can enter, the car is also protected in this way.

If the kitchen is to stay cold for a change, the managed Weidener Hut, which is approx. 45 min walk away, invites you to the best Tyrolean home-cooking.  The location of the well-known Weidener hut is also beautiful, so that one likes to forget the time, therefore flashlights are recommended for the way back.
