The national team of ski mountaineers from Germany as well as the regional squad from Bavaria are in training camp at the Weerberg. So that they are really challenged, the "weerBERGauf" was created.

The main feature of this extraordinary event is the challenging climb of 600 meters uphill, followed by a challenging descent of 250 meters. Participants will push their physical and mental limits and prove their fighting spirit. From Weerberg village it goes high up to the mountain station Hüttegg, from there to the valley station and to the inn Hüttegg down.

"weerBERGauf" is not only a challenging sporting event, but also a charitable event for the benefit of Kinderhilfe in the district of Schwaz. The community initiative works for the well-being of children and ensures that their needs and dreams do not go unnoticed.

For people whose focus is purely on the ascent, it is also possible to take part only in the vertical classification of the Mountain King & Queen BfB.

The event will also serve as a prelude to the Tiroler Schneegaudi: At the valley station at the Hüttegglift, the focus will be on alternative winter sports such as ski tours, snowshoeing, tobogganing and winter hiking and will take place from 19 to 21 January 2024. Well-known exhibitors will be showing their latest winter sports equipment and taster tours in all sports will be offered hourly.
